Effect
The Soul Harvest skill allows the Super Novice to sometimes find (5% rate) a Soul Fragment when killing non-boss monsters of Level 40 or above.
Soul Fragments
A primary use of the Soul Fragments is to reset the death counter via the Orb of Life on the Death Reset map. Each reset costs 150 Soul Fragments.
Soul Fragments are Account Bound. They can be shared among characters in the same account via Kafra Storage, but cannot be traded, put in Guild Storage, sold on Vend, or sent via RODEX.
The other use for Soul Fragments is to buy Novice-specific gears, available via the Dimensional Servant on the Death Reset map.

Quest
Prerequisite: You must be a Super Novice with Base Lv. 70 or higher.
1. Speak to Elenna Melbach in Juno (256, 347). She knows of someone who can expand your abilities, but doesn't allow just anyone to meet her. She wants to interview you to judge your character.
2. Answer the question as to whether or not you've died honestly.
3. Select the Please test me now option to sign up for her assessment. Answer her questions as follows:

If you answered at least 9 of the 10 questions correctly, you will be prompted to be teleported to Elenna's Master's realm.
4. Teleport to the Master's realm using the dialogue option (if you are not currently in a conversation with Elenna, simply speak with her again)
5. Speak with Gabriella Celeste. Tell her you are here to increase your powers. She reveals that you must tap into a 'unnatural' powers in order for that to happen.
6a. If you have NOT died, she will reward you with the Soul Harvest Skill; you are done, and can leave via the portal.
6b. If you HAVE died, she tells you your soul is incomplete now that you have died, and that you must cast away your soul and take another from another plane of existence. She asks for you to hunt two beasts, and gives you the Tome of Legendary Foes which will provides hints to their location.
7. Hunt down the two Legendary Monsters. These can be done in any order.
- The Grovekeeper is on the summit of Mt. Mjolnir (mjolnir_04; 2 south, 1 west from Aldebaran)
- The Demonic Tutor in the Glast Heim Churchyard (gl_chyard; enter the building towards the middle-bottom of the map to arrive at the Glast Heim Church, then take either portal)
8. Return to Gabriella Celeste (through Elenna Melbach in Juno (256, 347)). She will grant you the Soul Harvest skill.
