Dungeon

The Payon Undertombs can be located in Payon at (oldnewpayon 70, 169).

Between the Payon and the Dungeon is the Undertombs Lobby, which serves as the Hub for Undertomb-related quests.

Reputation

You can gain favor with the Payon Vanguard by completing various tasks, which is measured in Reputation. Once you reach certain thresholds, you will gain access to unique items only available through this system.

You can check your current Reputation and obtain rewards by speaking to the Quartermaster (untomb_01 48, 35) in the Undertombs Lobby after you have completed the 1F & 2F Entrance Quest.

Note: Reputation is not shared between characters.

Gaining Reputation

Reputation gained be gained via the following methods:

  • Finishing quests in the Main Questline as well as Side Quests (not repeatable)
  • Finishing Daily Quests available from Yanni Jeong  in the Undertombs Lobby (500 Reputation each clear)
  • Turning in Ancient Urns to Serah Erun  in the Undertombs Lobby (150 Reputation for each Urn)

Reputation Thresholds

The Reputation thresholds are as follows:

  • Known (200 - 4,999)
  • Friendly (5,000 - 9,999)
  • Praised (10,000 - 14,999)
  • Revered (15,000 - 19,999)
  • Deified (20,000)

Reputation Rewards

Gaining Reputation will unlock new items at the Quartermaster's shop. The cost can be reduced by Discount. Note that none of these items can be traded, but they can be put in storage:

Payon Vanguard - Mark of Authority Deified 50,000z Increases Reputation by 500, up to 10,000.
Equipment
Talisman of Holy Protection[0] Revered 250,000z Accessory. All Stats +1. Holy Damage reduced by 7%. Only one can be equipped.

Pet - White Rabbit Praised 100,000z Costume Garment (uses the Costume Lower Headgear slot)
Pet - Blonde Rabbit Revered 200,000z Costume Garment (uses the Costume Lower Headgear slot)
Costume Black Bunny Band Praised 250,000z Costume Headgear (Upper)

Main Questline

1F & 2F Entrance Quest

1. Speak with Guard Yang (untomb_01 32, 49) in the Undertombs lobby. He will require you to speak with the Chief of Payon for permission to access the Undertombs ("Seeking Permission" quest).

2. Check your Zombie kill count (@killcount 1015). If you have killed at least 1 Zombie, proceed to the next step. Otherwise, kill 1 Zombie in Payon Dungeon F1.

3. Head to the Chief of Payon in Payon Castle (payon_in01 137, 143)

(walk up the main pathway into the main castle entrance. Follow the hallway 1 portal into the 2nd main room, then turn right). Tell him about your Zombie kills. He will grant you access to the Undertombs. Note that this will also work with Raydrics, but Zombies are obviously easier. The Poring option will only work if you never killed a poring before.

4. Head back to Guard Yang (untomb_01 32, 49)

in the Undertombs lobby, who will grant you access to the Undertombs ("Return to Guard Yang" quest) as well as give you 200 Reputation.

3F (Mortal Realm) Entrance Quest

1. Talk to Subchief Olen(untomb_01 37, 46) in the Undertombs lobby.

2. Kill 50 Ninetails and collect 25 Dokebi Horns (called "Dokkaebi Horns" ingame) in Payon Dungeon F5 ("Believe It!" quest).

3. Return to Subchief Olen (untomb_01 37, 46) in the Undertombs lobby, who will reward you with 25 Light White Potions and 500 Reputation, then ask you to find the Broken Mechanism in order to open the Stone Door that leads deeper into the Undertombs ("Mechanisms" quest)

4. Head to Undertombs 2F and search through the Dirt Mounds in order to find the Broken Mechanism. The item will be in one of four Dirt Mounds:

  • At the base of the stairs near the top right portal (untomb_03 125, 124):

5. Head to Antonio at the Payon Blacksmith Shop

(payon_in01 91, 31)

(the gear refiner) who will repair the mechanism for you. You will obtain the Repaired Tomb Mechanism as well as 500 Reputation.

6. Bring the Repaired Broken Mechanism to Undertombs 2F

(untomb_03 93, 98)

. Click the Lever to attach it and open the Stone Door. Once you do, you will have access to Undertombs 3F and gain 250 Reputation.

3F (Spirit Realm) Entrance Quest

1. Head to the Empress of Payon (untomb_04 31, 42), who is on the map past Undertombs 2F inside the portal near the lever. She refuses to speak to you, so you decide to head back to Subchief Olen in the Undertombs lobby ("The Empress" quest).

2. Head to Subchief Olen (untomb_01 37, 46) in the Undertombs lobby. He will send you to the Payon Historian ("Ancient History" quest).

3. Speak to the Payon Historian (payon_in01 101, 111) in Payon Castle (upon entering the castle from the main entrance, enter the 2nd portal on the left). He will send you to a Waiting Room, where you will be tasked with seeing Payon's past through the Magic Mirror.

4. Enter the Waiting Room (click the chat bubble) and watch the cutscene.

5. Speak to the Payon Historian (payon_in01 101, 111) one more time to receive 500 Reputation and complete this subquest.

6. Now that you better understand the history of Payon, you must seek a clue to helm you better communicate with the Empress ("Sorrow" quest). Head to Undertombs 3F and click the Odd Flame (untomb_05 158, 32) to complete this subquest and receive 500 Reputation.

7. Return to the Empress of Payon (untomb_04 31, 42) ("Grief" quest). She will give you the Spirit Medallion and ask you to kill Lady Huo. From this point on, you are now able to use the Spirit Medallion on Undertomb 3F to travel back and forth between the Mortal Realm and the Spirit Realm.

3F Quest Finale

1. Head to Undertomb 3F and use the Spirit Medallion to head to the Realm of Spirit and kill Lady Huo ("Spirited Away" quest).

2. Return to the Empress of Payon

(untomb_04 31, 42) . She will grant you the Ornate Crest. Speak with the Payon Historian  once more to receive the Ring of Peace if and only if this is your the first clear on the account. Otherwise, she will reward a Clip[1]. If she has already given you 3 Clip[1]s, she will instead simply give you a Light White Potion.

Daily Quests

Daily Quests can be differentiated by their (D) prefix. These are primarily done in order to obtain Reputation.

Speak to Yanni Jeong {{ #if: | {{{prefix}}} }}untomb_012832{{ #if: | {{{postfix}}} }} in the Undertombs Lobby to take on the Daily Quest. These can be accepted after you have access to 3F (Mortal Realm).
